Happy Halloween! The scariest, spookiest, and most fun time of year. Halloween parties are a must for all ages but maybe you got in the spirit a little late this year. Still want to throw a party? No problem! Here are the 5 steps to throwing last-minute Halloween party:

RSVP

First step, guests! You can’t throw a Halloween party without some ghosts, goblins, and ghouls in attendance. Thanks to the power of the internet, you can put together invites in a flash and get a response just as fast. Our favorites are punch bowl and paperlesspost. A huge plus is they are already designed so all you have to do is put together the guest list and send.

Decor

Onto the next most important element, the spooky decor. You need to decorate and you need to decorate fast! Head to your local Walmart or Target for items such as cobwebs, skeletons, and candy. Head to Home Depot for your more advanced items like monsters and zombies and maybe even a projector. Lastly, pick up some pumpkins at anywhere they sell them. Do not waste your time trying to make these items at home!

sweet treat

You definitely cannot throw a Halloween party without some sweet treats. The treats aren’t just for the kids! Trust us, there is no easier treat to be made than these last minute mummy milanos. Here’s how you make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (7.5 ounces) Double Chocolate Milano cookies

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

  • 1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 32 black pearl sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Take the cookies out of the packaging and put them on the lined baking sheet.

  3. Combine the white chocolate chips and the vegetable oil in a microwave safe bowl.

  4. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and microwave for another 25 seconds. Stir until melted or return to the microwave for a little longer. Add more vegetable oil if needed.

  5. Once the chocolate is melted, dip in one cookie at a time. Spoon the melted chocolate over the top 2/3rds of each cookie. It may help to lightly tap the cookies on the edge of the bowl to get a nice even coating of chocolate.

  6. Place the dipped cookies on the prepared baking sheet and allow to completely dry.

  7. Place all the leftover white chocolate into a small plastic back or a frosting bag fitted with a #2 tip. Make sure the chocolate is still very melted, place in microwave for another 15 seconds if needed.

  8. Cut the very edge corner off of the bag and pipe the melted white chocolate over the cookies to form the “bandages” of the mummy.

  9. Place 2 sprinkle eyes on the wet chocolate.

  10. Let them dry and enjoy!

Beverage
